Decisions

Life isn't just a cup of coffee. Actually, it's made out of decisions. On- the- spot decisions, tough decisions, stupid decisions, butterfly-caused decisions...
When we choose a person to look at, a cookie to eat, a book to read, a specific pair of shoes to wear, we make a decision. And, accidentally, after a couple of years, that decision turns out to be the reference point of our lives...
Just think about it : you decide to skip a boring class and you come across an old friend. You decide to drink mango-flavoured tea and you realise you're allergic to it. You decide to enter a new room and BOOM...there you find the love of your life. See? Our entire life is a puzzle. Its pieces are every day's decisions. Our world is a movie influenced by the directions of some decisions.
From the very first day of life, we choose to be someone (true, we don't choose our family, our name, our surroundings)... at school, we decide who deserves our friendship...and which road to follow... later on, we decide to marry someone and we decide our babies'names. And the circle goes on and on...

« Le regard est un choix. Celui qui regarde decide de se fixer sur telle chose et donc forcement d’exclure de son attention le reste de son champ de vision. C’est en quoi le regard, qui est l’essence de la vie, est d’abord un refus. » - Amelie Nothomb
